If you have purchased Legal 3D or 4D number plates from Gold Label Plates, be assured that they comply with all the road legal requirements and will pass an MOT. We follow the DVLA's rules and regulations strictly, so you need not worry about any legality issues with our plates. Nevertheless, we acknowledge that certain MOT centres may not be fully informed about the legality of 3D or 4D plates. In such circumstances, please contact us, and we will offer the necessary guidance and support to address any uncertainties.

Our 3D and 4D plates are completely legal, as confirmed by the DVLA Government website which permits 3D characters on number plates. The term '4D' is simply an industry-standard name and they are still essentially 3D. Additionally, abbreviated number plates are also road legal and further details can be found on this page. We will also accommodate requests for show plates, however additional documents MUST be signed, this can be completed digitally.

The item is not permissible to use on the road as it does not comply with legal requirements. The fine print at the bottom of your number plates should include information about the plate supplier, material manufacturer, and the applicable British Standard. We will only provide this feature if you select the "Show Plate" option during Checkout.

It is within legal bounds to buy number plates as a present, hence there is no obligation to have matching names displayed on both documents. To make a purchase from us, you can provide your personal identification along with the entitlement certificate of a relative or acquaintance.

Although we have a quality control procedure in place to inspect every number plate before dispatch, please note that our plates are handcrafted as custom products. We assure you that we strive for perfection on every occasion; however, in extremely rare circumstances, there may be slight imperfections present.
